Get Moore
£5 Get Moore is a band of experienced musicians playing the music of Gary Moore. Moore covered a lot of ground from his early days with jazz fusion band Colisseum II to rock and Celtic rock with Thin Lizzy. However, he is best known for his seminal blues-rock album released in 1990, Still Got the Blues for You, that made him known to a different public. Numbers like King of the Blues, Still Got the Blues for You, Parisienne Walkways, All Your Love, A Cold Day in Hell, Midnight Blues all became instant classics. In the early 1990s, he joined up with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker and played many of the original Cream numbers, including Badge, Crossroads, Sitting on Top of the World, White Room, Sunshine of Your Love and While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Get Moore has played as a Gary Moore tribute band on several occasions, including The Ranelagh, The Brunswick and The Neptune (all in Brighton), and well known venues such as Mr Kyps in Poole where we supported veteran blues band The Producers and rocker Larry Miller. The Standard Lamps
£12.50 Get tickets » Fresh from supporting THE WHO (for the second time!) on their 2017 UK dates... ...The Standard Lamps believed that it was about time music went back to basics, by which they meant, back to the sound of the rock and blues bands that influenced them such as The Who, Dr Feelgood and The Jam. The band built up a strong local following in Kent and in January 2014 at The Forum in Tunbridge Wells supported the Wilko Johnson Band. Wilko’s then manager, Lisa Climie, approached them to support Wilko and Roger Daltrey at a one-off show at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire the following month. Following this, ‘The Lamps’ (as they are affectionately known), went on to support The Who on their Who Hits 50 arena tour in 2014. Reviewing them alongside The Who at Leeds, Mojo Magazine acclaimed The Standard Lamps as “Tight and bluesy”, adding that they, “At times look and sound uncannily like The Who of 40 years ago”. They then appeared alongside The Who, Paul Weller, Johnny Marr and The Kaiser Chiefs at Hyde Park in June 2015, and in September 2015 and April 2016 they supported The Bluetones on their 20th anniversary tour. Get Ready To Rock hailed their, “strong melodies and songs”. Commenting “You can see why they have landed such prestigious support slots” adding “these songs should help the band get more established with their Modern blues/rock with a heavy nod to the classic Who sound”. They released the single ‘The Model World’ in October 2015 which had plays on BBC Radio 2’s Janice Long show as well as being play-listed on 6Music, Planet Rock and having spot plays on Absolute radio. After he came to a Letz Zep concert legendary Zep front man Robert Plant commented it was like watching himself onstage, after he came to a Letz Zep concert. His comment in Q Magazine in an interview was ‘ I walked in and saw me!’ Letz Zep have also been reviewed in The Sunday Times by Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson. Now at the age of 22 he is now driving British blues to new levels from the heart of the UK with Tom Walker Trio. They have toured with the likes of The Move, Paul Jones (The Blues band, Manfred man), John Lodge (The Moody Blues) and Devon Allman to name a few. Tom has worked with producer Richard Digby Smith (Free, Reef and Led Zeppelin) on recording the trio's first record. Following the release Tom travelled to Austin Texas to play a string of shows over in the USA.
