Oakland Fiddle Duet & friends CANCELLED

We are a folk fiddle duet and multi - instrumental couple. Based in the south of England, we draw our influences primarily from English, Irish and some Appalachian folk music. Come down and join us for a night of Traditional and Old time folk and some Blues.

Emma: 
Emma is a classically trained violinist and singer, also a music graduate of the University of Chichester and former leader of the chamber orchestra there. She has played the violin since the age of four and has toured places such as Chicago USA, Chartres and Bucharest, Romania in orchestras. Emma has also grown up in and around the folk traditions coming from Eastbourne and attending college in Lewes, Emma is also a former member of the glyndebourne opera house..

Meredith
Meredith is a multi-Instrumentalist from Southampton/New Forest area. he has formerly played Fiddle and mandolin in folk, bluegrass and even punk genres. He also plays the Cello and is a classical Counter-tenor formerly of the Chamber Choir in Chichester University and has sung in Vienna. He grew up in the folk tradition playing mainly Appalachian fiddle and is mostly self taught. His Main Influences include Martin Carthy, Dave Swarbrick Steeleye Span, Bill Monroe and Tony Rice.
