Grant Langford
Grant Langford is a New Zealand born, UK based, rock-indie singer/songwriter who has always been attracted to music that matters – ‘real music’ is a term he uses to sum it up. Born into a musicians family, his late father being a singer in the NZ music scene of his era.
After travelling much of the world Grant settled in London and fronted the bands ‘Facedown’ and ‘Circus Animals’ – this is where he met his love, at one of those London gigs he was playing, and has ever since felt blessed that music was the medium that brought them together.
He started writing songs at 13 but had always had an obsession with music and he and his best friend Brett Adams (legendary NZ guitarist) would meet up at their homes and perform their favourite tracks.
He never stopped writing music and recently has just finished recording his debut album ‘Magazine Talk’ a potent mix of insight and melody.
For him music holds messages, messages crafted by artists that are delivered to unknown listeners, these connections can be intimate and personal and last a life time even though the two have never met. This extraordinary connection is a driving force for him in the music he listens to and holds dear. Now with that same passion he is delivering those connections to others.
‘Real music’ for him is not any one particular genre or period, it’s a powerful real force that resonates with profound affect.
From the greatest bands, to obscure artists, to DJ’s in all night raves, all have the power to embrace the individual in that way.
Grants journey in some ways has only just begun, a kiss for luck, and he’s on his way!
